So let me get this straight. I can get 24 hot asian chicks -or- 1 hour at a parking meter in Chicago. Ah, economy...how i love thee.
I don't recall mentioning what OS I use, actually.

But we can agree on one thing. Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. It's too bad he's never cried.
That's fantastic for Linux users. I know all four of them. They'll be happy.
I personally think it's a novel idea. Dunno if it's a great one, but it's certainly different. I like the idea of being able to swap out a keyboard or a gamepad or another add-on later. It allows them to develop further hardware attachments and input methods later on down the line to keep the phone in the running long after others released at the same time period would likely fall behind the tech curve. It's certainly a win for LG if it takes off, since they'll be able to make a good number of sales on aftermarket products that other phones won't have to offer. As a consumer though, I'd be slightly worried that I would end up being otherwise forced to purchase add-ons to an already expensive device in order to bring it up to its full functionality. That aside, the specs look decent. From the images, i'm not entirely certain that the 'pleather' pheer6224 is talking about would come on every model, or is a choice of several types, like a choice in colors on other phone models. Guess we'll have to wait and see on that.
Eludium-Q36,

The reason the bomb is 'suspended like that' is because that's how all bombs of that magnitude are detonated - in the air. If a bomb blows up because it hits the ground, all you get is a giant crater. However, if you detonate the bomb at a height above the ground, say, 30 or 40, or even 100 feet up, then the force of the blast wipes out all manner of life for miles around, and makes the area uninhabitable for years. It's the basic physics of how an explosive device works.
I just found this episode very disappointing. The direction wasn't horrible, but it definitely felt like I was being treated like a 3rd grader who's figured out the truth of Santa Claus, but my parents keep trying to convince me otherwise. The fan base has moved forward beyond the whole Clark/Lana relationship, but the writers keep trying to dig it back up out of the grave. I mean, we get it, the writers and producers feel like this show started out as clark/lana and should somehow continue to be about that, but shows need to evolve! When they don't evolve, they die out. Look at Prison Break. It's not about breaking out of prison anymore, but it's still compelling and entertaining and moving forward and evolving. Stop rehashing the past. Just because it's called Smallville doesn't mean you can't move into Superman territory. The fans want it, the show needs it. Just do it already.
I bet you think this comment is about you, don't you?
Amazon's still got em on sale for only $104.99 for the 8GB player. I wanted one for a while, and since they're going out of style now, I might as well get one.

I understand some people don't see a point to it, but I certainly do. I frequently visit friend's places where they might not want to pay to download content onto a 360 or PS3, and don't have the movie we wanna watch downloaded yet in order to stream it, so this is a perfect solution. I usually have to bring my laptop over and run it to the VGA or DVI port on their tv, assuming they even have one. This is as portable as an iPod, and plays a lot more formats. And those that complain that you have to plug in a few wires, it isn't like most tvs don't have a front or side input now that you can jack into.
Agreed. However, as it is now you don't go buy a refill for your zippo at the gas station (though i'm sure some offer it in their mini-marts). You go get butane lighter liquid or that Propane tank refill at your local supermarket or Walmart. And in the small quantities of fuel that one could fit into a cell phone or digital SLR camera, one could buy a large bottle at the store and potentially not need to go back for a year or two to get more.
In this case, the fuel mentioned is methanol, which is quite different from the much more oft-used gasoline/petrol used in your car. This is a fuel used in top of the line racing circuits, but otherwise, remains out of vehicles. But the point here is not the idea that it is using fuel, but rather, the fact that fuel cells are reported to have far longer energy outputs compared to that of battery counterparts. Instead of a 5 hour battery charge on your iPhone, now you've got a 4-week long charge on your Razr.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
