It doesn't matter what the thing looks like, it the sound quality that counts. Some of us require 24bit so that things don't end up sounding muddy once mixed down. The H4 exceeded all of my expectations for sound quality. Sorry Belkin, but this is like trying to sell VCRs in a world of HD.
I have the H4. Expensive but surprisingly good for a zoom product.
You never know until you try. If anyone fails epically (like I did once when my battery went flat during a critical operation) try the iphone unbricker. Works with the touch too, unlike another recently released piece of software with iphone in it's name.
Any bricks yet?
Check previous posts. It's been covered. Youtube has many videos on the subject too.
Yea, why couldn't Steve tea bag my touch like he did with all the iphones.
I recommend the instructional videos on youtube. Just follow the first few steps that deal with installing the firmware file and ignore the rest for now.
ipsw should be a file not a folder. itunes is working correctly.
I didn't think bricking was an issue any more. Anyone know of any unrecoverable bricks bought about by software misadventure lately? If you're not confident, just wait for someone else who's tried it to report back. Come on engadget readers! you can do it!
Keep trying. Last time I did it it took three attempts before I got a file browser box instead of a download prompt.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
