dang! merry christmas to me!
*they not the :P engadget, fix the friggin comment system -.-
useless? Im sorry, but you seem to have no understanding of how a company works. the advertise. why do you think apple is so popular? because they advertise the heck out of their products. Palm isn't wasting their money, if anything, this is what they need to do the most.
translation: no online gaming. no downloading anything large. no anything. AHHH!!!
hmm, your profile is set to private, which usually means you are a troll.
this may tank, it may not. but people usually don't buy Cowon's for their price (although the S9 is pretty friggin cheap by now).
people buy Cowon's PMPs to avoid iTunes, get the most awesome-est sound quality, and to fit into a unique group.
also, Cowon's PMPs actually do what advertised.
*chuckles*
oh, wait, you were serious? HAHAH!
I give this thing 2 weeks until somebody on XDA puts Android 2.0 on it
and yeah, you really sound like a troll... if you are really some guy looking for help, loose the apple bias sound... :P
personally, I say no. get a PC...
I got a macbook pro for just about the same reasons you listed above, and now Im starting to regret my decision a little bit. I could have gotten a computer with double the hardware for just a little more money then I paid for my mac... I like OSX, but only because I use some mac-only apps a lot... I now find myself booting into windows quite a bit now... :(
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
