Stop subsidizing farms to lay fallow, subsidize gym memberships. :)
Tax the everliving hell out of Big Pharma and Big Oil. Like that would ever happen.
So, basically, it's purified water, passed through table salt to get H2O with Na+ and Cl- ions?
I certainly care about retarded DRM when it makes the discs extremely difficult to play. Why should I have to break the DRM and copy a disc just to get it to work properly?
Cable (Cox Cable with HD-DVR)
Firefly in HD, obviously.
Subscribe to netflix.
Put the dvd in my pc.
Start dvdshrink.
Save output file to a separate folder for each movie. no need for RFID then.
250GB harddrive is what, $50 or $60 now? That holds about 50 dvds worth of movies. true, not HD-DVD or blu-ray, but still.

alternate way: rip dvd to ipod format and watch at work. no need for RFID.

yeah, this is gonna bomb BIG TIME.
Personally, I use Cucusoft's iPod conversion suite to rip entire DVD's to my iPod's format. Earlier tonight I watched some Veronica Mars (season 1), and some Scrubs (season 3) that I had ripped on my home pc earlier today. Also loaded on my device are a bunch of videos downloaded from Google Videos where you can download any video in iPod format.

I have not had to make a single purchase through ITMS for music OR movies.
I 'd rather just record something on my camcorder and transfer it to my iPod later.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
