oh my god... i've literally been waiting for months (...i was hoping apple would figure out how to implement it before 2.2 rumors started) to get public transportation directions in maps. and now apple won't let ipod touch users get the update? i'm pretty sure that ipod touch users are way more likely to actually use public transportation, cuz they are usually the ones who can't spend the money being ripped off every month by at&t... whereas iphone users are probably more likely to have a car. i don't even care that there's no street view (though that's pretty low of you to do apple), i just wanna be able to use my ipod to figure out my commute.

does apple want us to buy a car or something?? detroit lobbyists at apple???

I'm amazed nobody has brought up Die Bahn's bicycles in Berlin [and perhaps other parts of Germany?]. They lock their own wheels in place, so no racks are necessary; you just leave them in 'busy' areas...
ultradisposables

...let's face it, the market for these computers consists of [dare i say 'geeks'?] who are definitely not using them as their sole computer, but enjoy the idea of a small, cheap laptop they can view their pr0nz on at the local cafe, without breaking their backs getting it there.

is anyone under the delusion that these laptops are gonna be used longer than a year?

"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
