If you're looking at the D3000 for a "pro user" you're delusional. Nikon never intends for this camera to be part of their pro line, same as Canon doesn't intend for thier Rebel to be a pro camera. It's a dSLR for consumers.
I own a 03 Ion, and I love the center mounted gauges because the steering wheel isn't in the way of reading the gauges.
In Cook County (Chicago), Illinois, they take your license for ANY violation and keep it until you pay your fine!
I just got a ticket for not having my seatbelt on - $55 - and they kept my out-of-state license!

Terrible system.
Looking forward to some real competition for the iPhone - although $299? ouch.
Your question should be "Should I get this or a D90 or a a200?" The D90 is a better price at least.
While I can't vouch for his iMac story; I routinely boot my PowerBook G4 1.25ghz off of a USB drive.
+ QuickLook integration
+ Slick UI
+ Faster than CyberDuck
- No hierachical list or Column view?!? CyberDuck even has that.

Not getting it until they get Column or a better list view.

Why is it that Engadget can contridict itself? They report that Apple makes 30% on an iPod and $.20 on a song; and then post an article like this.
Apple makes its money on its hardware: OS X and the iTunes Store are so that people will buy Apple hardware. Licensing Mac OS X to Dell so that Dell can take sales is completely against their business plan.
Quicksilver for launching
Nothing in my Dock except Software Update, System Preferences, Dashboard, and Finder.
Leave the dock visible (left side, lower corner using TinkerTool) so that I can access it easily .
TinkerTool to pin it under my Spotlight menu...
Quicksilver to launch apps so my dock "grows" as I open more stuff...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
