It's different, but only slightly.. I mean, files are files, what's so hard to figure out?
In my experience, people can't get their heads around that things are actually easier in OSX, but hey, to each his own.

You know those Star Trek episodes or other science fiction plots where the more the crew pushes the engines in some strange nebula to get out, the worse the effect becomes on the crew... that's like this ad, and in the same way Palm too. The more they try telling everyone they're different, the more they'll just pull people into the Apple Store to see why.

The key here is low light situations. I think this is an interesting take on the stereo recorder (which is it's primary function; video is a bonus) but since most shows are indoors at clubs, low light sensitivity is key.
All the similar priced competition blows in low light, HD or not.

I'd make them powered on.
I've been to 3 Best Buys so far and as I casually checked out the Zune, they weren't even powered on for demo purposes.
Heck, if the employees don't care, why should I?
