Am I missing something? I had one of these:
http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=309919
about 2 years ago, and when it got flooded and I pulled it out the case to recover the data, it was definitely a 3.5" drive in there.

Or is this Toshiba's first external 3.5" drive in the USA...
Eh? 75 of them to relieve 37,000 car journeys per day? So they're being used about 500 times a day each, because they don't look like the could carry many people - or is it 37,000 car journeys per year, which is next to nothing in London?

Sadly the reason why vehicles like this have been "almost coming" for decades, but never actually there, is that they basically do and cost the same as helicopters, which fulfil this role in plenty of cities (Sao Paulo as the best example). Nice idea, but will still use more fuel than cars and basically be a toy for the rich or a viable alternative for people whose time is really, really valuable.
So, wearing one of these watches now with a 2G nano and a 3G nano next to me (also have the 1G nano, but not with me... I'm a sucker for these sort of things). Specific questions answered below, but in general:

It controls the iPod well with the buttons below the "screen", both in Nike+ mode and normal.

The screen is *not* on the whole time - most of the time you can't see the LEDs, and you have to press the time button on the right to see the time scroll. I think this is pretty cool (and presumably helps battery life)

#1 I have baby wrists too, and when I got it out the pack I was about to turn round and take it back. However, it shows you how to easily take off the clasp and trim the strap to preset notches to fit all wrists no problem- fits great now.

#3-9 The dial you can see controls the iPod - you don't actually want it touch sensitive, that'd be a nightmare when running and you just want to be able to grab your wrist. Some of the confusion may come from the fact that the control you pressed flashes across on the LEDs above the dial (which is the state shown in the picture above).

#10-11 You do need to buy the sports kit - good news I think, as half the customers buying these will already have them

#15 As #17 Paul says, the watch just has a button on the side to voice over your workout progress, like pressing the centre button on the ipod currently does - think that's what they meant.

#16 Mine worked great with the 3G ipod; I've updated to 1.0.2, see if that makes a difference. Otherwise check for the manual insert "If you don't see the "Remote" option", I had to follow that to get it to work.

#18 Not rechargable, standard watch-style battery. No idea how long it will last (see comment at top about the screen going off though)
Brilliant! Apple haven't even announced it yet but engadget are obviously so certain or have already had a tip they can't reveal, that they've stuck the post up ready! Mind you, the "fatty" prediction was spot on...
Has to be the scene with "Spartans! Tonight, we dine in Hell!" Great quote, but also the spirit of if we're facing the worst, bring it on.

Ah, the bastard son of Sin City and Gladiator, 300 we applaud you and your genius Scottish-Spartan, chocolate-making king. (http://www.leonidas.com/)
Bit behind the curve here Engadget... this has been on sale in the UK for a little while:

Those headphones look suspiciously like a pair of (not massively) modified Sony MDR-EX71SL Fontopias to me. Trust as they've been to me for dry iPod use, I'm not sure I'd rate them as very suitable for underwater use. Presume this also lacks even the ipod shuffle's limited functionality, in that I can't see the ability to control the mp3 player at all.
Has anyone in London with one of these seen if this will pick up the BBC HD1 signal properly? I'd be interested in one then (even if they might switch off the signal soon).

Works perfect on my Vodafone v1605 (HTC TyTn) too, great work!

Unfortunately no such luck for the engadgetmobile and engadgethd sites, but one step at a time.

It would be nice though to have the option of choosing which website you use by having a different url for the mobile version (e.g. www.engadget.com/wap), so you can see the comments etc. if you want to without IYHY.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
