Or the IRS for that matter!
Dude, the 32nm means that is the smallest size that they can work with (e.g. the substrate size). That isn't the size of the actual chip! Just for a reference, atoms have a diameter of about 0.1nm, so that means that they are making the chips with 320 atom wide building blocks. Which is how they are cramming so much stuff in.
I am constantly amazed that people will post comments like this. "Ramming down the ..." I mean come on! You can buy OS free PCs everywhere. Oh, and open source has yet to produce an OS that is suitable for the common user, and is usually VERY outdated in terms of drivers and anything peripheral. So I ask you, do you make up your "facts?"
This is why I do not own a cell phone. I know, I must be a dinosaur or something, but the deals they give people are total crap. You pay almost twice the advertised price in all the rediculous fees that should be covered in the plan but ohhh no, they have to pass that on to you as well. And then they a$$ rape you on these b.s. "minutes" and then the roaming when it costs the same to put a tower anywhere. The rant could go on, but I will wait until the cost isn't so stupid. like maybe the 700MHz thing.
Okay now that sounds like it would totally suck. I hope they don't get any ideas like that!
I am curious though, does the fact that somebody said this make it true?
When will people finally leave microsoft alone? I mean, they are the ones who brought us into the "digital age," and all the Linux whiners and company have done nothing but complain that since they are not as good at programming as the microsoft guys, microsoft must be evil. Give it a rest!
How is that any different than offering a lower price? Is offering a low price considered monopolistic? I think not!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
