A couple things I would like to see in the review:
1) Real-size side-by-side photos comparing HD2 and iPhone from all angles (top, right side, left side, back)
2) Battery life on a typical usage involving talking for about 30-45 minutes, browsing the web for about 20 minutes, and checking two email accounts (one exchange push, one personal gmail/hotmail/yahoo account).. can you last an entire day without needing to re-charge?
3) Mobile Internet. Let's put the browsers to some real modern web-pages such as touch.facebook.com, or fastflip.googlelabs.com
4) On-Screen keyboard - easy to type emails and text messages?
5) Is WinMo capacitive screen ready? Small "ok" buttons easy to click?
6) Speaker phone volume - good enough to listen when cruising 70mph on highway?
Windows 8 should now be renamed to "Windows Caffeine". The next version of Windows will compete directly with Google Caffeine :)
WANT! If only this was headed state-side on a GSM carrier...
I expect some good WinMo devics without the crazy $350 prize tag. Something to compete with the $99 iPhone 3G and $199 iPhone 3GS would be good.
@joonas,

I agree it is not an easy task.. but then this article seems to be for "power users" who have 640 gb on their system drive, right? Would power users find it difficult to re-install apps?
Nice... wish the Zune HD was a phone too. I am buying it though!
I visited the AT&T store last night, and the rep told me that Touch Pro2 and Diamond 2 are due to release October 6, which, coincidentally, is the same date WM 6.5 is releasing. I am quite certain these phones will be available with WM 6.5 on it, unlike other carriers that launched with WM 6.1 and "plan" to release an update later. The rep also told me that they have not received a firm pricing update, but it will be "somewhere around $200".. compete with $99 iPhone???

This article says Toshiba is also on board... Wonder if Toshiba TG01 is on tap :)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
