Fix the economy? YOU MEAN ITS FIXABLE?!?! holy..
I just got rid of mine. I was a loyal sidekick follower since 2004 when the SKII came out and Sidekicks really picked up in popularity. Since then I have had the SK3, SKLX, SK Slide, SK 2008, and then SK LX 2009, but I just couldn't keep this last one. With 3G enabled, the data service sucked. It either didn't work, or it would send me a bunch of emails and AIM messages at once when it finally pushed through. Though, if I switched it to run on 2G ONLY, it worked just fine. Maybe DANGER was having trouble with their 3G data but when it wasn't fixed shortly after I gave up. That and when I took it off the charger at 7AM every morning, it barely made it to 7PM by the time I got home from work, even on 2G and the brightness cut in half (and me NOT using the phone all day!). It just didn't make any sense.

The UI is kind of slow, whether you want to admit it or not sidekick fanboys, it was troubled. No amount of setting tweaks would get it back to the SK2 or SK3 snappy response that they had. I really kind of felt sad that this might be the end of the Sidekick--so many people were having trouble with this last one, it just killed what everyone remembered about the old sidekicks: reliability, always being connected, never missing a beat. With the newest one, you're missing everything. AIM stamps about 10 minutes in the past coming through late, those people are not waiting for my response 10 minutes later. Not the best way to have a conversation...

I put my SIM back in my 2008, and I couldn't be happier. I would seriously take the SK2 over the SKLX2009.
How was it done intentionally??? I'm going to use restraint right now with your reply.
Isn't SSBB on Wii...

Article Fail.
You can call customer care (611) and they can verify the order for you. I had the same concern--I actually am ABLE to upgrade my phone still so I was worried it didn't go through--but they verified for me that the pre-order was indeed there.
If you read into it a bit more, it is actually being shipped on the 20th. I had the same question too--so since we have no choice but receiving UPS ground on this item, it's going to depend on where the origin of the package is to determine how long it takes for us to receive it. I think that T-Mobile ships online orders out of Texas or Kentucky. I could be complete wrong, I just thought I remembered one of these places showing up on a previous order...
I hope the screen (or screens) will be better. I am all about innovation but as time passes, what I hope wouldn't happen--happened. I am becoming a graphics whore. I play my PS3 or 360 on a 42" HDTV, then hitting the Wii it's like ooo.. yikes. How's your non-HD?
I hope it has a better screen or screens. Back in 05-06 I was all about the innovation piece but I'm slowly to become a graphics whore. I want the best of both worlds auuugghhh!!!!!!
A majority of us can probably admit this same thing: feeling like it was a gamble purchasing a PS3 because if Blu-ray didn't win, we had visions of UMD running through our heads all over again.
Perhaps PS3 sales will increase now that there is a clear winner. I have all 3 next-gen systems and I've been drifting towards my PS3 a lot more lately, which I am surprised to say considering how I felt when I bought it.

A sense of relief, now I can just buy movies and not have to worry if it's going to HD-DVD or Blu-ray; also knowing that PS3 games are safe being within the same media is awesome as well.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
