"The sad thing is now, is that Blu-ray prices are going to double without any competition."

Oh how wrong you are. There will be many manufacturers producing Blu-Ray devices and they'll be competing with each other. Prices will drop just like any other consumer electronic device. Your comment is only slightly plausable if Sony were the only manufacturer.
wow..all these comments and no one said "a GSM model" yet. Or maybe I just missed it.
uhhhh...email client?
I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.
For the marketing folks...that's hella fast!
Since when does the Library of Congress have the power to rule over anything?
@OM
I recall reading about that 90 day requirement somewhere. I don't know what the exact law says, but for arguments sake, if what you say is correct, then it is AT&T's responsibility to unlock your phone. Apple is the manufacturer and AT&T is the service provider. Under your assertion, you would have to have been an AT&T customer for at least 90 days before they would be obligated to provide an unlock.
Thanks JD. Your post made my day. Those are the same thoughts I have whenever I read engadget, tuaw, digg, et al. and see all the self-righteous indignation.
I really wanted to get an openmoko too, but when I read the specs, no wifi. That's the deal breaker.
Ahhh Palm...I remember when you used to be revolutionary. Sighs
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
