You know, a lot of people are complaining about VLC development stopping, but good riddance to that shitty UI. Quicktime is many times more stable and matures, MKV was the one missing link for me.

THIS EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME LAST WEEK... very unhappy. Looks like just the boot partition though... I was still able to mount the disk as a secondary and grab my info off it.

Chrome makes Safari take a back seat

Natually Chrome is playing off google's brand, but Safari is still the fastest browser, with the best UI. For me, tabs at the top of the browser chrome will always lose.
