Jan 25th 2008 3:24AM Speaking as someone who has a windows mobile device AND an iphone. I much prefer the iphone. More stable as a phone and does all i need on top of that.

But back on topic.

upgraded my 1.1.2 OTB turbo sim'd phone using this method. Everything seems to be working except the google maps locator (as mentioned earlier it just keeps searching)

Be patient and just let it run it's course and DON'T reset at any point. It does take a while to do this.

2 minor irritations.
1) it leaves 400mb of files on your iphone (i'm sure i could delete with with SSH or similar when i get a chance)

2) You need to uninstall and reinstall all your 3rd party apps to get them to work
