Yay! Free laptop! Oh...and economy would be fixed if there's no monetary system and everyone gets one of everything.
I couldn't get any girl into my first high school car... a rusting '87 Toyota pickup. When I moved up to a white 94 Pontiac Grand Prix coupe in my senior year, girls I knew suddenly wants to ride in it and I had a couple good first dates and its rear seats were comfortable. When I bought a manual 02 Focus ZX5 during college, girls I meet always tell me that they like my car because it's practical, fun, and zippy to ride around in.

I honestly think that a small but fun practical car will work great for first dates. If you get a high quality small car like the Civic, Rabbit or the 3, then the girl would always be impressed when she sees a small car and expects a cheap interior, but gets in and is blown away by the high quality stuff and how solid the car feels when driving around. It's not too sporty either so there's no risk of a woman thinking you're a prick and compensating for something.

I plan on buying a Civic Si as my next car soon and I think that will continue to give me success in having good first dates.
I'm a Kansas Citian, and while I'm not a rabid fan of the Royals, I follow the team and the news it gets. Seems like the money used for this renovation isn't from the team or its owner. It's from the county that approved a tax increase to fund renovations for both Kauffmann and Arrowhead (Chiefs) stadiums. Honestly, if it was just for the Royals when it was time to vote, I'm sure they'd shoot it down. It just happens to be that it's associated with the Chiefs in the bill. People here in KC are rabid, and I mean RABID, fans of the Chiefs and would do anything for the Chiefs. I like the Kauffmann stadium, but it is a bit behind in time compared to the newer stadiums I've been to, since it was built in the early 1970s. Certainly could use the renovations. With how the Royals are doing lately, you think they would be in a position to ask for a brand spankin' new stadium? They're lucky to even get the renovations.
I own a 2002 Focus hatchback and I love its handling and it hasn't given me any problem at all. I was thinking about getting another Focus when I heard about the redesigned Euro Focus. Imagine my disgust when I saw this....this...thing unveiled. I used to love Ford, but I refuse to buy any more Ford vehicle while there are much better Euro models that Ford's denying us Americans. The new Fiesta's a nice little baby step in the right direction, but it's too small for my lifestyle. Until I see the Euro Focus here, you'll find me driving around in a Mazda3.
Oh man...this would make a great technology for the deaf people. I'm deaf and I depend on technology such as computers and smartphones to help me communicate with the rest of the world. However, I couldn't do anything about having actual conversations with people who can hear. If I could fit this on my smartphone or something similar, it'd make my life a lot easier if it actually works and relays what other people are saying to me on the fly.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
