thebomberman,

please excuse ddapore99. He was actually born in 1999. He did all his school research from the internet.

Good design adds functionality. Beautiful design adds emotional impact.

Both makes work and play better. That's important.

You also seem to know nothing going on at the background. Snow Leopard and Windows 7 both run great. I use both.

Good luck with MSDOS or Linux/UNIX without a GUI. "TERMINAL ROCKS!"

Technology should be forward moving, never backwards.
That's not a bad idea at all...

Like with the MacMini, I'm sure Apple will make upgrading as difficult as possible.
David,

The bigger screen and the DVD player are nice additions too.

This laptop is better for low income families than a netbook. It's more useful.
Yeah, Apple would NEVER use another companies product as an example! Ever!
um... No Mac/PC icons?

I would think that would be the obvious choice. This would prevent those annoying dot (.) files and folders. It would also work for unrecognizable characters in file names from one OS to another.
I was really hoping this program would do well. If I wasn't so busy, I would've definitely tried to create or port over software to it.

I'm glad I bought one and gave one. The OLPC program will be mentioned when similiar programs will be created. It has it's place in history. I'm proud of the OLPC team for sending so many laptops out.
3D?

Can two images at different angles with the same focus create a 3D object? Is mimicking human perception enough?

If I can't rotate the picture and see all the angles like in a video game, then I'd call it 2.5D ("two and a half DEE").
I'm still waiting for Sanyo's Xacti VPC-HD2000. I can't wait for an official US release.
Gamestop didn't make the console... Nintendo didn't create the bundle.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
