guess you didn't quite get the idea that no matter how advanced the underlying network is, the frequency spectrum can only carry so much bandwidth. nothing can be done about the limits of a frequency spectrum.
When i ran ubuntu on my laptop (8.04 and previous versions), I never had issues connecting to networks or any kind nor auto-connecting to networks. Not sure why it wouldnt work for you.
i think C++ is a good starting point for a CS degree. References are easier to understand if you already understand pointers (they aren't difficult at all to follow, but also having knowledge of pointers is very helpful). Plus the jump from C++ to C# is very minimal.
good translated comment ....

"I wonder why you bad comments like this head.
Elementary school and you?"
what part of the market would an apple tablet fit into? i don't see it. i have a tablet and well, i only use it as an actual laptop. i almost never use the tablet features of it because its more of a burden to use it as such. overall tablets havent sold well at all. maybe someone else can provide some insight into the reason apple would create a tablet and/or what market need it will fill.
you think shes chubby? thats crazy talk
The issue of privacy is dead. It doesn't exist anymore. We all are forced to sign a social contract, whether we want to or not, if we wish to take part in a modern society. The issue now is how do we control the data that is recorded about us? If we have no say about how our personal information is disseminated, then we have truly lost a great deal of freedom. The complacency exhibited by the previous two posters, and everyone else that believes that "if you dont do anything wrong, you have nothing to fear", are going to lead us, as a society, down a path we certainly do not want to go.
"Only criminals should fear being identified."

mmmmm, complacency. best served with an overzealous government
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
