I switched from Comcast to DirecTV a couple of months ago. I still have my cable modem with Comcast, but have phone service through Vonage.

The most difficult part of the process was getting the one install guy that had the 40 foot ladder to get the dish up to the roof of my house. That took three service calls to get that resolved.

As a bonus, I got $150 dollar rebate from Costco, although that took several telephone calls to resolve.

Neither one of these problems were caused by DirecTV.

Overall, I get many more HD channels through DirecTV (+70) than I ever did from Comcast. They appear to be better quality HD and so much cheaper than Comcast. I now pay about $80 month for the package with all channels (+250) + $60 for Comcast cable modem service. I used to pay $150 for the Platinum package from Comcast, which included one premimum channel and about 100 SD channels (25 HD channels) + cable modem service.

I pay slightly less and get so much more. I am very happy.

I spent my cash on gas to get to work.

Saints Row as a very good game, and Saints Row 2 is sounding even better. I don't think you can go wrong with it, where Mafia and Mafia II is somewhat less known.
