I HOPE this one has some sort of external blinking LED that let's me know when I have new mail/missed a call. That is probably the biggest feature missing that Blackberry has. That and an email system that works consistantly.
"DCA is the first system ever to utilize the accelerator pedal to provide feedback to the driver."
I think this is what they were toting as a first. The pedal feedback system, not the actual system. Clever wording by the Marketing folks.
I'm guessing Intel advertisers on Engadget based on the wording of this blog.
Exactly! WhyTF would I want D-Link on my photo frame?? It looks like it's lit up too.

fail.
A press event for laptops, seriously? If they're going to go through this much trouble, why not have them running next to their competition doing tasks like video encoding, gaming, Photoshopping... Show the true reason why people would want to buy these over an Acer.

On a side note, you can buy a Sager notebook with a quad core processor, 3 hard drives, 2 video cards and a 17" HD screen for $400 less than this dual core equivalent.
For sure!
A $6300 Dell laptop???

Go check out Alienware or better yet, Sager. Unless your forced to buy Dell from work.
Umm who would buy this, or a macbook pro, if they're looking for a desktop replacement when this is available:

Quad-core, 3 HD's, SLi...
I think it's mostly for parallel parking - making sure you don't bump the guy in front of you, or scrape your rims on the side of the curb.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
