"and she can never run Final Cut Pro or Express, which she may want if she goes professional or semi-professional."

Ever heard of Adobe Premiere? Same thing, different skin. Do some research
further proof that TUAW has gone to poop. Any other obvious tips? Perhpas you should vomit out another useless iphone story. its called the unoffiicial APPLE weblog. if you're gonna report on the iphone 98% of the time at least report on interesting things. how bout the possibility of the new matte black finish on the 3G? Engadget figured it out, why can't you?
First off, this has already been done, SURPRISE, it just didn't have so much shitty graphics all over it. Secondly, the obvious, it's a huge fire hazard because he has the waved part facing the computers organs. (which is much more flammable then the flat smooth part of carboard). Thirdly, how is this even sustainable? Nothing new here, if anything this is just a case mod, and a bad one at that. WHY is this getting so much attention!?
Whoa Whoa Whoa. All i'm saying is that TUAW 10 years ago actually reported on interesting stories and the staff were apple GURUS. Now, they're just a few nerd journalists who *happen* to have visited the apple website a few more times than the average joe/jane. I mean, i can't be the only one who wants old TUAW back, i don't even come here nearly as much as i used to. they messed up the logo, the phto galleries don't even work on my pro with firefox and the articles lack a clear topic. This isn't a blog. It's a dygin cat waiting to be run over by it's owner Engadget. You know now i'm more lkely to go to engadget and search apple because at least they hit the same stories TUAW does, but hours earlier. This blog became pathetic.
um, sorry, but DUH. Everyone knows about the SMC (or PMU-power management utility on PPC models). It's a very obvious solution for most battery problems and can most certainly be found using a simple "broken macbook battery" google search. However, this being said, if you're battery is no longer recognized by the computer, the actual battery usually needs replacement.
borderless screen, anyone? if they accomplish that (or something very close) i'll pick one up asap.
I have a halo 3 poster and a gta IV poster and a painting that my mom made.
I have a black 8Gb 3G (not that it matters, the plastic is probably all the same material) and i have a small 1/4 inch fissure to the left of the camera, also my screen clicks in and out on the left hand side when i push on it AND the camera takes these weird photos occasionally that are chunks of what the real photo should be, but tiled together in a weird way. Hard to explain... Never dropped it, always kept it in it's own pocket... Very peculiar
Your arguments don't hold up Chris. Why would you buy a computer based on the justification that whatever it can't do will be done by your desktop. It doesn't make sense. This isn't evolution. sure they redefined the look of the macbook, but other than that all they did was take stuff out of it. This was the longest post in months on TUAW and what was it about!? Some guy justifying why he bought the macbook air. who cares bud you just blew 1800 dollars on looks. TUAW has gone downhill.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
