Strangely enough, the 701 is quite useful for quick browsing, checking Gmail, and other basic web access. I was planning on getting the 901 as soon as the Linux shipments were settling out, but the 900A matching the 701's look for not much more than the 701 back when it was released makes me want to save the $100 I would of put to the 901.
Okay, despite the obvious comments that came earlier when it was leaked (this just confirms that I'll pay $75/mo), I have a BIG question.

I'm going from GoPhone to iPhone 3G (postpaid). A new 2 year contract, and my credit is good. Am I paying $199 or $399 for the 8 gig phone?
Halftop.

Seriously. A EeePC 701 is half the size of a Dell Inspirion E1505 from two years ago! It's a half-top!
That's not Snake, that's Jim Gordon from Gotham City!
B&N in Baltimore's Inner Harbor also has AT&T, but had it for years before this recent switch-over. They serve Starbucks coffee but it's not a true Starbucks. B&N just has an AT&T contract.

Can we make sure these Starbucks are dedicated stores, not built-in stores at B&N or even Safeway (a grocery store -- yes, there's a Starbucks inside a grocery store and two dedicated Starbucks near by).
To put it into perspective on how thin these displays are, hold up two sheets of 20lb, 75 g/m^2 copy paper.

Yes, is that thin. The larger display is three sheets.

Did someone forget to poke around? Turns out there's not only a S-GOLD3H (PMB8878) but a 3G-less S-GOLD3, the PMB8877. I couldn't find the specs on the S-GOLD2 (PMB8876) on Infineon's site, so I'm assuming they're discontinuing the S-GOLD2 and forcing the switch to the S-GOLD3.

Without the H. The PMB8877, not the PMB8878.

Someone check Engadget's homework again! :)
It must be the vacuum mouse. A crap mouse that accumulates more crap the more you use it? BRILLIANT!
A MoCA to Ethernet bridge. Give Verizon an alternative to those crappy Actiontec routers.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
