May 12th 2008 1:14PM I saw one of these about oh, 8 years ago. They were used in CAD/CAM and virtual walk throughs.

After hours, we used it to play Sin.

I can't remember the manufacturer though.

Apr 25th 2008 1:14PM Double Dash - Donkey Kong Mountain. Something about being fired out of a cannon with the guy on the back wiggling in the wind that makes me laugh

Vidalia OS X client for Tor tunneling network {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Apr 22nd 2008 9:46AM After using this for a day to play with it you'll find yourself on ORBS black lists, Slashdot's blacklists, and many other black lists.

Because your network connection if at all outbound will do nothing but churn out spam & other sundries until you shut it down.

Least that's what happened to me when I was in a 'fight big brother' phase and thought that might be one way to do it.

Proposed bill aims to set minimum auto sound levels {Engadget}

Apr 11th 2008 10:31AM Being the owner of two hybrid cars I can tell you that both of them I've noticed I've scared the every loving hell out of a few people in a parking lot. Whether it be rolling by them, or backing out of a spot, whatever. They don't hear noise which doesn't alert them to something and their reaction depending on how high drama they are can be (and has happened) to jump and sometimes their jump is TOWARDS you instead of away.

On the surface, making your car 'noiser' sounds really stupid. In practice though, our self absorbed (IE on the phone, twittering, web 2.0 look at me stuff) society you don't scan the parking lot while you're walking, you're trying to keep your kid from being run over, talking to someone on the phone, checking your crackberry, whatever. No noise = no awareness = oops.

Apr 10th 2008 11:17AM Apple once again proving it's superior-ness in fandom has the following instead: http://macenstein.com/default/archives/category/mac-chick-of-the-month/ (borderline NSFW depending on tight-ass ness of company you work for)

I'm sure many would agree they'd take that over this abomination any day.

Vista beats OS X? Really? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Apr 9th 2008 10:51PM 'realized it's silly'? More like 'were berated in public by real customers so bad that they didn't dare continue the strategy'

But yeah, I agree, that's why I went for the comment button was to point out that ok, Sony may have tried, they failed, and now offer crapware free.

But that's one of the vendors, not all of them. and the reason windows supposedly rules so much is 'all the applications' that they have. Crapware included.

Harmonix explains gimped Wii Rock Band {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}

Apr 9th 2008 5:24PM yes because the SD card slot can't hold anything large enough to store a few DLCs.

I mean 1GB, 2GB, 4GB or 8GB clearly isn't enough storage.

whatever. still fail, still no sale.

Rock Band drums and boxart revealed {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}

Apr 1st 2008 10:59AM much as I like the DLC of Rock Band, I'm not spending $279 on a system, then $169 on a game just to play it, not to mention the $99 on a wireless thing to get it on the network to DLC, then the $49 to get the right xbox live thing, and $49 for a controller for th other games.

I'll just skip rock band for now, maybe.
