Isn't Microsoft responding to Apple's commercials basically admitting that Apple got to them?
Does this erase your text messages or are those retained as usual?
Yes, anybody using the PSEye as a mic is almost forced to annoy everybody else by default. A push to talk option would cut down the annoyance significantly.... as it stands there is very little I can do to avoid having my mic register random sounds. But in other games where I push to talk the PSEye is wonderful.
Yes, because muttonchops and plugs in your ears is obviously the way to achieve greatness.
Who needs a beautiful, intelligent girl! I can go to Tijuana and get taken care of for $5! Or if I build myself a girl from parts on NewEgg it's even cheaper!
There is simply no technical difference between a "PC" and and a PS3 or Xbox 360. Any game that's on one can be on the other.

You can "upgrade" a PC, but given a console lifecycle you basically get one major upgrade (probably a video card) before you would buy a new console anyway.

PCs have more unrestricted content, but games like UT3 on the PS3 are slowly breaking down those arbitrary barriers with Mod and K&B support. Everybody but Microsoft already supports free online play on the consoles.

Consoles have less up front cost, even if PC gaming costs the "same" in the long run.

Less than 1% of the consumer market is willing to build a computer. Less than 10% is willing to open it up and upgrade anything. Without building yourself or upgrading yourself, PC gaming is WAY more expensive.

People don't really like hooking up full blown PCs in their living room, for various reasons (mostly the PC also needs to be at a desk since it is used for other tasks).

For all these reasons, PC gaming is on the decline. It will always be there for the indie developer and hardcore "give me the best possible graphics" types, but they are just a small niche.

If blizzard does a console release of Starcraft 2, for example, it would severely undermine the relevance of the PC.
This slew of numbers is great and all... nothing like a ton of numbers to get nerds in a tizzy. But how about some REAL WORLD testing? How long does it take to encode an MP3? Load a web page? Launch an app? Do a filter? etc.

Other tests on... other sites have shown that all this supposed "anemic" and "underpowered" is resulting in average performance of 90-95% of that of a Macbook or Macbook Pro (depending on task).
1) Why the hell would you want to do ripping/importing through remote disk? Why not just do that on the host machine and then transfer the resulting file? Oh noes, I can't do something that is completely useless to do in the first place!

2) If you are watching actual, non-ripped DVDs on your laptop then you forfeit all nerd cred to begin with.
The partial tuck has been a fashion staple for a while now. Both the hip hop guys and the big belt buckle rock guys do it in various forms. Just shows Drake is stylish.
Faster processor, more RAM, faster wireless, light up keyboard, gesture trackpad...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
