you're goddamned right, crash mode is what made this series unique, and they seem willing to add anything BUT crash mode to paradise.
they'll say "hey, my internet button changed"
the reason is that the cpu in this thing is not fast enough to take advantage of gigabit. They don't mention the speed on the page, but I would assume it is a low power arm. If you want a good gigabit nas you're getting into atom territory, and dropping a few bills for it.
so apparently, they're coming out with a new chumby that has a volume knob. did yall hear about this? gee, if only i could get one of those for my wife! we've got a great show tonight, stick around we've got matthew mcconaughey and the black eyed peas!
john "Keep in mind that this happened less than a year after I got this new battery, so it WOULD HAVE been under warranty had the shady warranty-transfer policy not been in effect."

That isn't shady, that's just business. You don't get a new warranty just because they had to fix something. If they did, I would find a sneaky way to get my laptop and car replaced every year. Apple has the best rated customer service in the biz, so if you don't think that's fair, you'll be even less happy with the alternatives.
so what's up with that $100 adapter? the reviews on apple.com mostly give it 1 star because of poor image quality and unreliable performance. pretty rare for a company that prides itself on innovation, display quality, and reliability. have they addressed the issue?
not to mention, this this doesn't even have wheels. I mean, I can buy a real bicycle for a fraction of the cost and it probably wont break if i try to sit on it. typical of apple to release an overpriced computer that doesn't even make coffee, wake up fanbois, you can get a coffee maker for $15 at wal-mart. some people are so stupid that i can't even comprehend them.
i use this or something similar a the state fair in the car show. good for a kiosk i guess.
the disc is temporary, so this is a trivial argument. i'm far more interested in the UI. since netflix uses the xbox ui, i doubt we will see that on the ps3. as someone who owns both, i think the ps3 ui is pretty shameful in comparison, and i hope they tried to do something better. it would be nice to watch netflix without a leaf blower in the room.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
