What a pretty phone. It's a same they have the same crappy interface, yet again. Verizon, take your millions of dollars and buy yourself a clue - your users *hate* that fugly interface. Even Windows Mobile looks prettier, and it's probably more functional.

Oh, right. With Windows Mobile, you can't keep a stranglehold over functions of the phone I should get for free anyway. How silly of me
The statement light moves at the same speed in air as it does in a vacuum is untrue. A vacuum, by definition, is the absense of matter (including air) - light travelling through a vacuum is travelling as fast as physically possible. By forcing light to travel through anything (such as air), you increase its refractive index and lower the speed of light. The speed of light within air is not much different than the speed of light within a vacuum (the index of refraction does not change by much), but they are by no means equivalent. See the following Wikipedia article for more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_indices_of_refraction.
Wow, using dd to create a bit for bit copy of a DVD. What a novel idea.
Same crappy interface I see. When will Verizon finally get it through their skulls that a baby with a crayon can design a better phone?

And what the hell is with the external touchpad? It was bad enough when my phone would manage to unlock itself and leave seven-minute voicemails, and when the camera key would get mashed down and take 30 individual photos of the inside of my pocket. Why would I look forward to the same phenomenon providing my testicles with the musical pleasure they deserve?

Screw that. When my contract is up I'm getting a Sidekick from T-Mobile
What competitors are you referring to? I'm looking into getting VoIP for my home but I'd like to look for alternatives to Vonage. I look at Vonage's site and ask myself what I ever did without all the features they offer, but it's always good to know of a competitor to them (so I'm not viewing through rose colored glasses).
That's nothing new. You can flash your brights repeatedly at a lot of traffic lights and have the same effect.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
