How to reveal blocked caller ID info: a video guide to risky behavior {Engadget}
Jul 21st 2008 10:44AM I haven't answered a blocked call all year, Call-vantage sends them to voice mail which is now full of lots of click, buzzzzzzz. Guess telemarketers ( that's to nice a term ,voice spammer is better) don't leave messages.

Jul 19th 2008 12:05PM Why should insurance companies take money for people who drive responsibly? Are you serious? We all have the potential to be at fault from a paint scratch to manslaughter. That's why you buy insurance. What you are talking about is everyone taking out a bond and they don't work any better. You want to make it far then put a mandatory tax on fuel that is used for no fault coverage of all drivers and get medieval on bad drivers, suspend licenses and mandatory jail time for driving on a suspended. As for your car the person that hit you should be in jail Buick Grand National is one of my most favorite cars right up there with a 70 chevelle you really need to get a lawyer and sue.

Jul 17th 2008 4:15PM Ya Temecula Ca is a bit off the beaten path not to mention kinda out in the middle of no where and probably a bit of a sink hole when it come s to service and support for those few customers. Some areas I've had to work that are in similar straits, San Louis AZ (could be the fact I was in a detention facility, working OK and only for the day) , Naco AZ, Eureka Ca. ( outside of the town those trees are murder), Casa Blanca NM, Buckeye, AZ. ST. Jose hospital down town Phoenix, Sells, AZ. Most of them are simply too expensive to service and the contracted third party carrier doesn't give a shit about AT&T customers. Not sure about ST. Jose hospital downtown Phoenix AZ though and that was in the lobby on the first floor!!

Jul 17th 2008 3:33PM Perhaps a little firmware upgrade for the radio is in order. I know that quite often HTC's cell phones SUCK with one radio version and rock with another. I'm sure this all AT&T / Apple will need to address.
ITM Power shows off in-home hydrogen fueling station {Engadget}
Jul 10th 2008 12:38AM Paul I don't see the Otto cycle engine going away in our lifetime, it is just too convenient. The fuel used is vastly superior to any other in terms of storage, transportation, distribution and for the most part energy content. We need to find a means, like algae or bacterial transformation, to create a low carbon footprint based fuel that mimics good old diesel. We really need to quite wasting precious money, man power and time chasing the perfect zero emission vehicle. One last point, when people are charging their cars or splitting their water where is that power coming from? Short term, Coal fired power plants for the most part, wind and solar are to rare and nuclear take for ever to build. Increase the demand for electricity and you will get more burnt coal! I will say this, the last time I was at Navajo Station I got quite an earful on the cleanliness of their stack output. They were working on CO2 sequestration in a local aquifer at -6000 feet so if they are an average station I'd say coal wasn't as bad as the greens make it out to be.

Jul 9th 2008 7:27PM Hear that sound? It's the collapsing American electric grid under the massive assault by EV's and electrolysis equipment. Crap California can barely keep the lights on now! What's going to happen when all those Left Coast nut jobs get their hands on electric vehicles in mass? The only answer is bio fuels produce from waste vegetation.

Mercedes-Benz aiming to ditch petroleum by 2015? {Engadget}
Jun 28th 2008 9:35PM Why does everyone say that? It's like the 100MPG carburetor that runs on water and the oil company killed the inventor when he refuse to sell and wanted to release it for the betterment of humanity, why do people keep repeating that?
