I would be interested in the combo touch/pen. I use an Intuos for navigation all day editing video, instead of a mouse (I would have carpal tunnel by now otherwise). The touch would be nice because I wouldn't have to pick up and put down the pen all the time, or palm it while typing. The touch-only version works like a laptop trackpad however, with relative positioning. I would need the pen version for the 1:1 relationship between monitor and tablet.
Were you using Word when you lost work? Whenever I crash it brings up a list of unsaved files that were open when it happened, and I simply select one and continue where I left off. This seems to be an answer to what you are talking about, and it already exists.

I wonder if it would be possible to use the ring as jog/shuttle for video. I use an Intuos 3 all day every day and it's great, I'm certain I would have carpal tunnel syndrome by now without it.
I would definately switch. The HD is great, but if it can actually connect through the LAN and not just a direct cat5 cable, that is even better. I would love to be able to put the STBs in the closet with the switch.

Does Dish require subscribers to purchase equipment, or would these boxes be supplied?
I wonder if one of these could be hacked into a cheap touchscreen solution for home automation. Anyone know what these kinds of frames run on?
Invisible Boy was one of my favorites of the series, and the first thing I thought of when I saw this.
It's Niveus, no chance it will be affordable. I'm guessing $500-$600.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
