Cool. Camera must have freely programmable autoshooters built in (like do the job via specified interval, zoom, exposure) but damn they don't
Will see what's this one...
Avoid Panas, just forget that this company with mentality of bycicles, electric irons and bulbs exists in photography. They can not make good cameras. Such happen, that because this is Japan which monopolised camera market and not neighbour China, India or Russia, Panas makes cameras instead of cleaning cow sh#t on their farms. You will quickly find a lot of compromises in each detail in this chip @#$%. Have you forgotten damn LX1 and LX2 ? Two world noisiest cameras, with just 12MB(!!!!) or RAM and 6 sec RAW recording time, washed colors LCD at any angle?

But if you are asking about LX3 vs DP2 then, well, LX3 is right now OK for you. It's of course better then nothing. DP1&2 is not for everyone (I will not buy it too, unlesss it will be for free. Unfortunately Sigma also can not make cameras, it's not their prime business, they make lenses. Or may be we also have to remember here cow sh#t).
This camera as well as DP1 and SD14/15 DSLR has large (hence high well capacity per pixel) Foveon 3-layer image sensor as many already pointed out. Everything else technical is total crap, here every hater is right, and I personally can not withstand its many deficiencies. One excuse: Sigma is a small company....

But almost no one stressed the point that by some reason such structure is capable to record just totally stunning image quality photos as if it records something beyond this damn RGB. Something Bayer can not do by unexplainable reason. A really good mathematician has to find why. Take a time to look at Foveon samples and enjoy. This is just a sun light recorded, not bits and pixels. You will feel it.

It's really nice PMP
About Pentax.

1) It's softy image has easy explanation: Pentax can not keep up with normal color saturation in the whole range ISO from 100 to 1600. It has NOOOOISE at 800 and TERRIBLE NOISE AT 1600. And this noise is not as pronounced with current settings.

2) Someone above claim that they don't like Nikon/Canon because their image is too sharp for them. ROTFL! Again, go to the test sites, look at Pentax lens terrible chromatic aberrations, compare! That will explain you full story behind the softness.

3) You know this anecdot:

Q. What is faster then a speed of light ?
A. A guy with a coupon

This in explains why Pentax has so many awards.
Cheap. We all have Walmart mentality.

Bottom line. It is not even close to Canon and Nikon in image quality. Avoid it, specifically now, since prices are down.
What also incredible, it is 12 mm shorter than iPhone, and only 2mm thicker and 10mm wider, so it has perfect size specifically for men's palm. Would be great phone. Damn Nokia ...

"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
