Agreed. How are are 4gb, or 8gb, usb keys rare? They're cheap as hell - I've had a 16gb for half a year and I'm thrifty as a squirrel.
OH MY GOD. THIS WOULD MAKE MY LIFE
I ACTUALLY REALLY NEED THAT
Sounds like a techno party at the Bose factory.
My DV2000 has the same problem, but it looks more blue to me. This laptop replaced my DV1000 that, after a year and a month of service (yes, I had a 1 year warranty), failed. The failure rates on the 1000's was supposedly epidemic and caused by a faulty motherboard. Despite the proximity of failure with the closure of my warranty, they kindly offered to fix my laptop for $800 (about the value of the computer). Needless to say, I refused.

So far the beautiful blue line running down the middle of my screen, along with a broken trackpad button, are the only issues I've had with the DV2000. Regardless, I'm moving away from HP after these two notebooks. I've seen HP's fail in wizened hands just as fast as the technologically challenged; the numbers only reinforce this.
"As for the resistive touch input, I wonder if it's a hardware related issue. Has any 800x480 screen on a phone shipped with capacitative input yet?"

The Droid has a 854 x 480 capacitive screen.
Hey hot stuff
Ok, I love my Zune HD, but WHERE IS THE SUPPORT FOR WPA/WPA2 ENTERPRISE NETWORKS? Yes, I know it took Apple a year to support it for the Touch, but honestly MS. It's a pain in the ass not being able to get internet all over the place.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
