Every time I would start "navigating" my phone would ring (bad luck I guess). When I answered it, I would loose all GPS functionality, and get even more lost. Finally I just had to ignore business calls so that I could make it to the airport on time for my flight.
I just switched from a Blackberry Bold that would allow the AT&T Navigator software to run in the background, so the iPhone was a bit of a change for me.
I hope that Apple decides to allow background apps in the future. At lease allow users to pick one or two apps that can run in the background. Until this happens, I may have to buy a Garmin as my Blackberry was always "Good Enough".
Who knows, maybe TomTom's software won't suffer from this problem somehow.
