this roomba kick kinda came out of nowhere....device hacking at its best!! first roombas...then hdcp on hdmi connections!!! :-)
i ordered my 700p today with sprint. i have a 650 w/ vzw right now and sprint has better evdo coverage in my area. you need the 40.00 a month unlimited plan to tether, or the 25.00 varible.
as far as my opinion goes (which may not be far on here) for a linux/windows notebook, if you want quality...thinkpads ARE the best laptops at any price. all the hardware is supported in linux and they work flawless. i purchase these in bulk for my company. if im not using a thinkpad im using a mac...the only non-thinkpad laptop i have is an XPS, and its single purpose anyways. i once dropped a T23 off an 8ft ladder and it was fine :-)
these devices were doomed from the start...they probably only recalled 6 (all they sold) and it was prob to cnet and other review publishers.
i love apple to peices, they have great products...but they can be ass holes about certain things, like getting all the "i" websites closed down...
haha! it was a given, but at least you can get some year old models off ebay for cheap!!
ohh my god it does!!!! lol
isnt this getting alittle farther than they should be worrying about? we arent even certain the first gen upmc platform is crashed yet...
#6...great idea..i had a similar idea on how to deal with the nigerian scammers...

step 1: sell laptop on craigslist
step 2: wait for scammer to ask you for your "last price"
step 3: send them the laptop, except change the battery out with a brick of C4.
step 4: scammer opens up laptop and powers laptop on...
step 5: rinse and repeat
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
