"Re: Palm Pre Overheating and Battery Dies in 3 hours stand by - webOS Hardware - Palm Support Forums"

...did finally find out (after many hours testing) that the "battery problem" actually is HOTMAIL who cause both the heat and drain the battery in only 3 hours - even when the email update was set to manual!!!

But the same phone work then for over 12 hours, with Gmail active and you can get your Hotmail emails through Gmail, too ;-)

Someone had also exactly the same problem 3 times before with OTHER phones and a HOTmail connection, that got crazy for some days...

Please inform the unhappy victims (of this awful MicroSoft failiure) in any other forums you use to visit *big smile*

I sincerely hope it wasn't a devilish attack on Palm, from Microsoft side!!?!!
Yes, Joshua was really cool and it was especially smart to start to show the multitasking talents of pre...
That was the dumbest invention I ever seen...

A switch that need very low pressure (type 10% of the normal annoying pressure of today) and glow in the dark (so you don't have to make the walls dirty, trying to find it) would really be smart ;-)
I guess they simply want everyone (who care about quality) to buy big full HD LCD screens, before they release big OLED screens...

And when that finally happen, will they gladly offer OLED so everyone (who care about quality) have to buy a new screen :-(
There will be BOTH web apps and integrated linux apps, if I didn't got it totally wrong... As I wrote in my magazine...

"And they offer advanced help to over 10.000 developers of other "third party" programs, for their superior open OS and the programming will also be extra easy, because the OS follow Linux standards and the screen presentation follow HTML CSS and Javascript standards... Then will they have a very generous routine to approve new applications, to guard the security and stability... And only selected partners will get access to deep areas of the Linux based main OS of the same safe reasons..."
I really like rounded edges, but NOT the slighly oval (curvy) sides and I sincerely hope I can get tighter lines, smaller letters and other then BLUE colors, in settings...
I was actually very sad that I couldn't by any stock (no money) when I read that Nova will be presented at CES because I was sure it would be a very positive reaction...
It will be a joy to slide out the keyboard, because it will be a delight to use a real keyboard - even if its cute!
I truly love everything about this "newness" except the silly oval sides and I hope it's possible to "tighten" up all the new empty space between lines, in settings!!

If some tightening NOT is possible, will the extra screen space only be useful for web browsing and that would be very very sad...

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
