his first name is Mac? Must have been an adopted name (as opposed to birth name) but still so cool. least he's in design and could somewhat stand up to that name.
@mac

i disagree. i dont think encoding is an important criterion to these UMPC/smaller devices-bound chips. if anything, it should be tested for video decoding and multi threaded applications, given that it is hyper threaded.

i could use this, im a college student!
@Alessandro Massone

So you have a degree in fontology? Come on man just shut up and let them do as they please. Who are you to say "it's okay for this to be used for movies, but not for gadget"? Anyone who decides on buying a gadget for the right font is a dumbo anyways.
for the same reason Yahoo bought Google stock.

it was a good decission. companies buy competitions' stocks all the time.
seconded. the price is only a little cheaper than any of the intel's quadcore offerings.
it saved me alot of time in many occasions. i dont have to open my pc just to get access to my IDE ports. also, i managed to help a friend with his notebook SATA HDD which he had to access without his broken laptop.

the item mentioned in this post is overpriced.
i got the same thing on newegg minus the USB ports for $20

It even handles PATA and notebook PATA, plus the aforementioned SATA. it also has a power cord

i dont know what's the big deal with the device in the post, it's more expensive by $20 for the extra USB ports.

p/s search for VANTEC CB-ISATAU2 SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 on newegg to fimd what im talking about
i have 2 ds lites, one for myself and another for my bro. i kinda regret buying a lite tho, im having trouble finding a good game. the last good game ive played on the lite is Zelda, even then I still find it lacking. I probably will buy a PSP next

p/s i cant/despise using stylus while im on the go. I wanna play some GOOD action games that dont use stylus at all.
i want a wii.. too late?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
