Mac Plus (purchased by my dad in 1988) - Sold long ago

Mac IIci - Sorta works, but is in the attic of my parents' now-foreclosed on house

PowerMac 8500/120 - Sorta works, but in the same attic as the IIci

iBook G3/600 2001 model - Working, though low RAM = runs slow. I also may have to rebless OS X...

iBook G3/500 2001 model - my brother's old computer

White MacBook/2.2 GHz with MacAlly Red Leather BookShell - My current computer after my iBook listed above. Works great. Had to send it in for repairs once, and I hope that's the only time I'll have to send it in

My mother and brother also have MacBooks:
-Mother: 2.1 GHz MacBook (Penryn)
-Brother: 2.16 GHz MacBook (Merom)

..and finally...

MacBook Pro 2.16 GHz 17" (Core Duo) - my dad's laptop. It's a pity it can only support 2GB of RAM max. That's a great machine.

All of our MacBooks were purchased new, except for my dad's MBP. He got it in a barter with a client.
I have a MacBook (non pro) as well and I just tested your issue with my Goldmember DVD, and for me it's a non-issue. What model MacBook do you have? I have the late 2007 model. 2.2 GHz Santa Rosa with the GMA X3100. In fact, I haven't had any problems with my MB since I got it. I've had maybe ONE random KP in the last 2-3 months. I got it like December 19th or something of last year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR MAC COMMUNITY! I can't wait until MWSF in a few weeks! whooOO!
HOLY SHIZZNIT! My brother is a huge SSBM fan, as are alot of his friends. They're gonna be mad happy to learn of this.
I know this story originated in January upon the Intel Macs' release, but it's now almost 6 months later. Apple has devised a method to install WinXP on the Intels using a program called Boot Camp. It allows the safe reparitioning of your hard drive so you can install WinXP onto it. Go to http://apple.com/macosx/bootcamp to learn more. I think it's the right step in the right direction.

"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
