The Porsche Design ones, there are no visible part lines when the drive is sat on the desk. Designing what looks to be like one solid piece, yet with electronics inside, that is suitable for mass production, takes a lot of creativity.

Fancy looking ones with visible, obvious part lines separating the product into its halves, not only are much easier to design, but shows its designers' lack of interest in details ( adding some accent really, is just adding, that's not detail ).

Did you read the article? It's a medium format. Not a 35mm full-frame.

Like others have said, if someone's job calls for it, they could consider. For example, fashion photographers.

As for Leica users, are you saying Henri Cartier Bresson didn't know about photography? Of course he could use a $5 toy camera and would still get results. But was he conned for paying for some overpriced gimmick?

I know a lot of photo journalists who prefer Leica M system, because, if they ruined the camera completely while on the run in the middle of a riot or war, whatever shot they had, would still remain safely unexposed in the body, since there isn't a film back that would pop open. In the modern digital world, taken shots are pretty secure in flash drive. But most I know still believe their M system would outlast digital SLR under heavy abuse. They would love to switch to digital SLR for post-processing, yet, all ended up sticking with their film-based M system.

That said, if I were to get on medium format, I'd rather get a Contax 645 / Zeiss system, and add a digital back which I can upgrade when needed.
A bit smaller screen. More cramped holding ergonomics. And as much as I dislike UMD, no way for me to sell my used games.

I guess this is just another PSP for different type of target audience, not really an update.
Sony won't change the "spiderman font" identity in midst of a physical update on a same generation console.

It's probably a real imitation that has the guts or stupidity to use Sony and PS3 and PSN on their product.
Possible. Since Jobs isn't there to scream, "It's about the lap, stupid!"
We are not supporting any football team.

We are just saying, unlikely. He's saying, definitely.

He didn't say, competition is good for market, and we went, no, we do fine with Apple alone.
@KevinC

Did you miss Steve's letter on how Apple would rather get rid of DRM? And I can't exactly download apps for Blackberry for my iPhone, can I?
@LookAroundYou,

PacMan is not saying iPhone is so great with so many apps that people won't try Palm. He's just saying signs shows that it's very unlikely people are just gonna dump their iPhone at the end of the contract.

Your example of Windows OS having more apps. No matter how great Mac OS will be, Windows will never die, would it? No one ever said Palm should stop promoting.

C'mon if you're gonna bet your life come June 29, seriously, are you gonna bet on the iTunes Store with zero activities from the phone users; with millions of Pre purchases and millions of iPhones showing up at Goodwill?
You've gotta be kidding me. 40 f/2.8, and those are their test shots? No wide aperture portraits? C'mon, we need some shots of those Tokyo ramen stalls.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
