These are either rewards from Argent Tournament, or just the combat mounts for Argent Tournament. Restriction will not be race, but which city you declare for the tournament.

I'm going to guess both, these are the combat mounts, and you get a non-combat version for completing the achievements for a particular city.

Also, I'm guessing that the new banners are flow while you are riding your mount (and can be turned off like helms and cloaks). This could possibly be worked in like rep tabards for mounted daily quests (or vehicle battles in raids).
interesting take...that would mean 3.1 goes live before Children's Week.

Also, I didn't see Noblegardens on the in-game calendar. Could Argent Tournament be replacing it, and 3.1 comes out next month?

How long are PTR's typically up before patch goes live?
I wouldn't be so sure that its good news for other trade skills. Blizzard stated earlier that they will be adding more glyphs over time (likewise with achievements). I see the addition of more as a ramp-up to full glyph mode rather than a sign that all trades kills are getting updated.
How come they are only able to archive your CEO showcase for 1 year? 6k should buy more time than that, especially from a company called AlwaysOn.

I would use my computer to recharge batteries. 1) My computer is always on, 2) I have several open USB ports at any given time, 3) these are cheaper than $20 device to do the same thing, 4) my digital camera eats up batteries like crazy.
I could see it being used for better control on touch devices. When you push a little harder you fling through menus and pictures further. Just an idea.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
