Most retailers use that now to get out of the 'Computer Glitches'. Personally I think they accidentally set the prices on purpose to get this kind of free advertising exposure.

I have read through all the comments posted so far and to be honest, if microsoft got inspiration from apple they are just doing what every other company does.

Let's face it, Im sure one car manufacturer came up with the idea for Remote Locking on their cars... now if you look in any showroom, every car has it... so why is it only when microsoft creates something that 'kinda resembles' something apple did do they get slated for it? apple are just as bad, but are great at hiding their sources for their 'ideas'.
