You guys don't get it, you cannot compare this to a DSLR, its a rangefinder camera, the small size, focusing system, and speed is the entire point.
People need to stop thinking of the 3G iphone as the iphone 2.0

It's a slight update to a phone that came a year ago. Anyone expecting more than this was/is delusional.

I agree, I'm getting a little sick of engadget trying to put a negative spin on pretty cool gadgets.
It is a small sensor. It is not as small as the GRD, but it is not a full frame sensor.
Actually no, 14.1 mega pixel on small sensor usually means noise fest.
I'm happy with my Ricoh GRDII. f/2.8, the GR is a proven, legendary lens, and the built quality will most likely be better than the sigma.

F/4 is disappointing, pretty much defeats the purpose of including a larger sensor since you will be forced to shoot at higher ISOs in low light anyways.

downloading as I type this....
The TV thats thinner than the iphone

I dont think you get it.

There is more to a device than what it cant or cannot do.

HOW it does it is just as important...
Anyone who thinks the iphone is an average phone hasnt used one. Period.

The ease of use, the OS, visual voicemail, the text messaging system, the desing, the touch screen, the way the whole package is put together, web browsing, the ipod, it all makes the iphone a truly revolutionary phone.

Yes, there are phones that can do most of the things the iphone can, but none can do it with the efficiency, simplicity, enjoyment of th iphone
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
