German "Future Store" lets you grocery shop with your cellphone {Engadget}

Jul 3rd 2008 1:27PM this is absurd it would never fly in the real world....

1. every camera phone has different resolutions, storage mediums and interface methods to get to the pictures...
2. transfer speeds would suck.. resolutions are getting larger
3. privacy.

I sure as hell wouldn't give anyone access to my storage card/IR interface/bluetooth/usb/whatever to get at my personal photos and address book.

Imagine the porn collection that register would amass!

How would you change Canon's Rebel XSi? {Engadget}

May 23rd 2008 7:34PM (XTi owner)... XSi isnt enough for me to upgrade... xti covers my indoor pr0n shoots just fine.

FIRST OFF... CANON - kill the "REBEL" name.. its the stupidest name I've ever seen on a brand!!! Maybe in japan, "rebel" sound cool when translated, but it's gayer than gay in the US...(no offense to my same-sex pals)

Technically, it's still not full frame FOV, and no CF support..? I'll wait till Canon comes out with built in wifi with a full frame sensor, with dual CF slots, RAW to one, JPEG to the other for under $1000. I'll never pay more than that for a body.. I'm not on a Brazilian Rainforest safari for NatGeo, ...don't need a $8000 body. Lenses OTOH, yes.

Someone should also design a grip with a built in SSD HD! hows 200gb on your camera sound? Huh? huh?

May 22nd 2008 5:46PM Does it come with a licenced copy of Robert Miles "Children"? I think Arista records would like some royalties on their promo vid!

Seriously though... a fan inside the unit.. what happens when it gets clogged with dust, does it get hotter and fail, or make that annoying buzzing noise most PC fans do when they get clogged with crud?

Wii Fit: the 30 day test starts today {Engadget}

May 9th 2008 5:02PM 5 lbs is nothing to lose over 30 days.. thats like cutting out your coffee... not a realistic benchmark for this... get someone fatter!

May 7th 2008 5:14PM just what I need, a camera that sounds like a miniature cox airplane engine, spits out water, and carries hydrogen gas... mmm fun. Can I have one in my cell phone too so it looks like I wet my pants?

Electric Motion Systems E+ electric bike: $3,495 for two wheels {Engadget}

Apr 25th 2008 12:58PM from their site: "Vehicle Range: Electric power only: 20 miles on a single charge; with moderate pedaling: 40+ miles"

Ok. MODERATE PEDALING??? What does this stupid bohemoth weigh? 60lbs, 70... 100? Come on, the idea behind bikes is to excersise not have a heart attack trying to pedal home when the batteries die or get shorted out rolling through a puddle or the rain!
