Another big change they made was that the License info is no longer stored in the users home directory but in Library/Preferences or
/Network/Library/Preferences.

Great change for a multi-user environment.
Now if Apple would release iPhone versions of their server tools...
would you like your $.40 back? at $99 a year it is roughly $.27 a day....
I have the North Carolina, MAC GEEK plate... how do we send in pics?
Yes. But that is why it is an option to fetch or push. Polling the server every 15 minutes is also a constant drain on the battery as is talking on the phone for hours on end...

You cant just not use features of a device because it drains the battery - what fun would that be?
Really all the iPhone needs to support for .mac "push" to work is the Idle command. If they implement the IMAP Idle command into mobile mail then it "should" work with an IMAP service that supports it.

The IDLE feature allows IMAP e-mail users to see immediately any mailbox changes without having to undertake any action, which in essence means a constant connection to the IMAP server.
For all you who are asking will it work with __________. STOP!

No it will not work with Sprint, Verizon, Alltel, Embarq, US Cellular, or any other CDMA networks.

The iPhone, if un-lcoked, is a GSM network phone, meaning it only works on a GSM network like AT&T, T-Mobile, and SunCom here in the good ol' us of a.

Now outside of the US yes it works with all most every provider - why? because GSM is the global standard.

Until Apple release a CDMA version of the iPhone it will not work on CDMA.
Why oh why did they change the expose keys! If you notice the icons on the keyboard reference to a change in the function keys that correlate with expose and dashboard!

Don't change something is not broken!

F3 - expose all windows
F4 - Dashboard

and notice no fn key meaning the other f keys are useless besides the pre-mapped functions.

And of course there is not an Apple logo on the command key - but that will help the strange confusion of the command key vs. apple key
This service sounds very similar to what AT&T offers already for certain devices, called XPRESS Mail. XPRESS Mail is actually software developed by Seven, seven.com, which does basically what Visto will do. The only thing about it is that Seven has to install client software on the phone to do the end to end encryption.

If this service is anything like XPRESS Mail it will not be a solid answer to corporate email on the iPhone. Not to mention the software has to run on a computer at all times to be able to receive/send new mail, not a solution!
Cannot help but point this out but...You do realize you used the greater than sign? You are basically saying each windows app is greater than the mac apps, which I am sure is not what you meant.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
