Sure would be nice to have longer run-time on the iPhone.
@zirb, yes! I have been saying this for years. Seriously.
@wonderkid

Read up, the company has always been a military contractor, only when they introduced the Roomba (2001?) did they become civilian as well.
I think you mean i.e., not e.g.

I.e. = meaning
E.g. = for example (exempla gratis, literally "free example" or something like that)
I love my Wireless Laser Mouse 5000. One thing in particular always strikes me - it has a little bit of heft, which translates to better tactile feedback and control when moving it around. Also the "spinnable" scroll wheel - doesn't click, you can give it a whirl and it will keep on spinning for a second or two. Love that! Even with that, it took me 5 spins to get from top to bottom of this page.
This is no joke, almost all major chains in USA that sell computer equipment jack up the cable prices. It's partially a reaction to the low profit margins on more expensive computer equipment, like monitors and CPUs.

You can still buy a spool of 100 yards of Cat5 cable for $80 bucks (off the web), but then you need the crimpers and all that. So other than building them yourself or ordering off the internet at a place like cables4less.com, getting them in stores is a rip-off! But sometimes necessary.
Well, iRobot was always a military company first, from what I've gathered. They just spun off a civilian enterprise a few years ago. Judging from the sales guy's reaction, they are probably fairly separate and distinct entities, at least internally. And that's probably a pretty good idea in my opinion :)
My dog regularly seeks to destroy my Roomba.
it's mandatory as in, part of your tuition bill, same as computer fees, student fees, etc. every year here at rutgers university students get all up in arms about the $7 newspaper fee, because why should they have to pay if they don't read the newspaper... same argument for the computers... my personal feeling is that the university should not even bother itemizing it, if it is part of the tuition then just include it in the tuition cost.

to contrast, textbooks... are not "mandatory", are not part of your tuition bill, yet usually you must buy them to survive the semester.
are you serious? have you never heard of textbooks? :)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
