I still scratch my head over why Hyundai didn't use the Genesis to launch a new luxury brand, a la Lexus, Infiniti, and Acura. It would have been an ideal starting point, and a new brand would likely be easier to sell to consumers than the idea of a Mercedes-bashing Hyundai.
The big difference between this and the digital TV switchover for consumers is equipment cost. For digital TV, all you need to do is get a little box (for as little as $10 after the government rebate), plug it in between your TV and antenna, and forget about it. Radio listeners will need all new equipment; not so bad in the home, but an absolute killer in the car. Most newer cars have their audio systems so integrated that you need to replace a huge chunk of dashboard before even thinking about putting in a new radio. The plug-in kind (through an aux port) would work, but you'd have to fiddle with a wire and a new device for changing radio stations, taking your eyes off the road for longer. Maybe if these radios were required in new cars they could start to phase FM out, but even then I couldn't see it happening before 2025.
Um, I don't think you will be seeing it in London, since that is Vauxhall's territory. We probably won't see it until the Insignia's first continental show.
The Target newspaper ad says that they will start selling them at 8AM on Wednesday. I hope they stick to that, since I plan on lining up at my local store.
I really think there is room in this world for both skate. and THPS. It's like racing games--skate. is a simulation racer (GT or Forza) and THPS is an arcade racer (PGR or later Need for Speed). I hope the next game doesn't go too far down the serious skating route. Why not have a realistic skating game and a low-gravity, impossible spins arcade-style game?
I really doubt that any new Taurus SHO would come out before the 2010 restyle. The overall style seen in spy shots is more Euro-Ford (read: sportier) than the Five Hundred, so an SHO conversion would be feasible.
Xbox 360

Since I am in my mid-20s, they really have no say on the matter, but never had an issue with older games that would have been rated M nowadays.
I created an Automator plug-in to tag my files. Simply right-click on the file, go to the plug-in (I named mine "Tagger"), and up pops a dialog box asking for a tag.

All you have to do is create an Automator script using the action "Set Spotlight Comments for Finder Items" and make sure the option to show the process is checked. You can also create custom Taggers for tags you use often.
I once skipped class to go to a porn store with my ex-girlfriend.
Gotta be Rainbow Road--any of them!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
