Usually, I wouldn't want Apple to break functionality like this, but methinks since Palm knows the only way it can compete is by 'pretending' to be an iPod/iPhone, it makes it OK.

I really hope it actually does break Pre functionality.

I'd pay 49.99 for the TomTom app, and 20/year to update the maps.

Still MUCH cheaper than buying a hardware unit.

I understand your arguments, but this guy gets paid for this. This is his JOB. If the New York Times reposted the same article over and over again, each time with contradicting information, you'd be upset.

It's his _job_ to watch the keynote. It's his _job_ to watch the guided tour. It's his _job_ be on top of these kind of things.

"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
