I'm a bit lost as well... 40 fps burst mode...is this thing for real? As I recall most DSLRs have about 6ish fps so unless I'm really low on coffee this morning or this thing does the p/i crap ala hdtv to get 35 of the 40 frames, I'm very confused!
The only thing missing is a physical keypad...not the whole QWERTY but just the numeric keypad...will be interesting to see how it will be for typing texts on this beauty. I have resisted the iphone because of it but the additional features on this will make it hard to resist!
If these price cuts are official and not just promotional I'm guessing its not long before there are bundles with 2 games for an extra £10/£15 at other places.
Maybe I like the performance of my ferrari engine but the size of my focus for city driving, so I go into my garage and modify my ford engine bay, the ferrari engine and other stuff so it works with each other. Now I have a focus body with a ferrari engine which I can use to race grannies in the supermarket car park!
Notice how I did not just plonk the engine from the ferrari into the ford, I made changes where required. Nor do I expect Ferrari or Ford to support the resultant mutant car.
Now all the grannies in the supermarket car park can't keep up with my mutant car and want a piece of the action as well so I start providing a service to put their ferrari engines into their fords. Will I get sued by Ferrari/ford....will the grannies finally break my unbeaten streak...will I ever find out who moved my cheese!? Tune in next week to find out....
Now I am no fanboi...but think about it...they could make an impact even with all the noise happening at CES. So I think they were there even though they were not there! Gettit!?!?

@vlute Similarly iphone price less VAT = £229 or a difference of about £29 (Compared to US price) (not sure if iphone price in the US excludes sales tax)
This difference in prices can be easily attributed to higher labour costs in the UK which which will not only increase direct labour costs such as floor staff but will also seep into other overheads which involve people doing anything.
The difference of the differences between PS3 and the iphone could be in part because of the size of the packages. It will surely be cheaper to store and transport boxes of iphones than to do the same to the same number of PS3 boxes.
Any ideas how many iphone boxes can fit in a PS3 box!?!
That said, I do agree that making Apple charge the same across the EU does push them into a corner. I would not have minded being allowed to buy from other EU itunes stores if they were cheaper.
Granted Apple would lose revenue in the UK, but it would be made up by increased revenue in the other stores. Now this should not make a difference if the profit per song is uniform across the board and higher prices purely reflect the higher costs.
I believe this has to do with the fact that a person in a EU country can buy things from another EU country if its cheaper over there as long as all taxes due in the country purchased from have been paid.
Some of my friends in the UK have bought stuff like xbox 360s from Amazon Germany as even with the postage it was better value compared to Amazon UK due to some promotional offers. This is completely legal as all German taxes and duties have been paid.
This will drive the countries to be more competitive wrt taxes and fulfil one of the aims of EU to harmonise taxes across the board.
So if I can buy a cd from a different EU country because its cheaper (due to cheaper wholesale rates which are cheaper due to lower taxes) why should I be stopped from buying the same songs on itunes.
