you can pre-order them from www.lik-sang.com. of course, it's a crapshoot there but I DID get a navy blue DS lite at least three or four months in advance of US release for $200. worth it for the jealous looks on the subway. I personally trust them, but then again, I've had my 2 wii pre-orders there since April, so good luck suckers!
@ 2 -

Lik-sang is honoring the order these are recieved in, it's not a group "list" where everybody is lumped together. I've had two on prepreorder for over five months
not only that I heard Entropia is full of hackers, script kiddies and thieves. no thanks.
yeah, seriously. I hope this guy starts another long drawn-out series of flame wars about how his project never lived up to his ambition, was released without his consent, etc. etc.
I found a kaoss entrancer used - it has all the audio effects of a kaoss pad (last gen), the same interface, except it has LIVE VIDEO scratching. about 50% of the effects are shit (wipes, dissolves, etc) but the res let you time scratch with live performance, it has like a 20 second buffer. REALLY REALLY fuckin trippy. worth it used , hard to find, and like $899 new
I'll take three!
yeah... I mean, I dont even know the guy that well Joel, not sure I'd be comfortable playing it in his lap...
You could build this yourself (probably exactly if you got one and disassembled it) for probably $10. I took a class in college about making stuff like this, it's not that hard. Still cool however, I'd like to hear it...
navy blue unit from lik-sang is almost as good and I've had mine over a month. to me it was worth the extra $60 (and free shipping). fingerprints are no problem btw, clean off easy and not too visible. the contrast with the screen on the darker unit is astounding. I have never once nor ever will use those stupid demo stations anyway.
I agree with 3 - even though in theory this is "high quality" we all know mpeg4 encoding is going to make it look like shit. I'd take a cannon gl2 over this any day... disc formats are definitely prone to errors and editing would be a real bitch - time consuming decoding to avi or mov...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
