Hey, Google: failing to spellcheck Android 2.0 can have 'undesireable consequences' {Engadget}
Nov 10th 2009 10:45PM Why do Engadget writers get into pissing matches in the comments? If you believe the work you do is worthwhile let it stand...you don't have to defend it. And typically when you DO defend it you overreach and start banning long time contributor to the site. It is like your trying to be Gizmodo or something.
You write the articles...we read and comment. Isn't that how it works?
As for feedback...I've always liked that Engadget didn't get into pissy opinionated (ala Gizmodo) but it seems to be steering more in that direction. I just want knowledgeable, topical gadget news...let the COMMENTATORS provide the opinion.
Cheers.

Review: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 {Joystiq}
Nov 10th 2009 7:31AM Dear Joystiq,
You are owned by a HUGE company that surely can afford $60 for a review copy. I'd MUCH rather see your next game review include a disclosure that you didn't accept freebies and that you are free to make whatever determination you wish about the game. I'd rather have that kind of freedom to review and have the review 12 hours later than schwag-fest reviews.
Also, since you are a multiplat site it would have been nice to review it on BOTH consoles ... not just the one that MS paid to have in those rooms.
Mac OS X 10.6.2 update out on the prowl (update: Atom support is gone) {Engadget}

I don't believe that hackintosh is mainstreet enough to be hurting their bottom line in any significant way. On the upside, potential new hardware sales would be garnered by exposing PC users to the operating system. ie. I'd never just walk out and buy a Mac but if I could spend a $100 (or whatever Apple's OS costs) and run it on my hardware to try it out I might be inclined to think about Mac hardware next time. JMHO.

Nov 9th 2009 9:11PM As a non-Apple anything owner...am I wrong in noticing a marked increase in the number of douchey things Apple is doing this year compared to past years?
What is up with that?
