How about the entire Adobe CS3 Suite not working in Snow Leopard? How about the fact that Snow Leopard is nothing more than a glorified (and broken) service pack.
The only thing Apple's ever had going for it is its interface. Period, the end. Microsoft should just straight buy Apple, make them their UI division and be done with it.
A HUGE difference you left out is TouchFlo has been extended to cover virtually all of WinMo 6.5. In other words, they reskinned the entire OS and that makes a big difference in ease-of-use.
Still though, I want the TouchHD2. If AT&T isn't getting that, I'm leaving them. Period.

Is it me or does HTC come out with a phone every week? Yes, but we hear about international releases as well as US releases. If we only heard about US releases, you wouldn't say that.
Can't they just make a few that have maybe the different form factors that people like (slider, all screen,) HTC Touch Pro 2//HTC HD
Then put all the nice hardware in these devices. Their hardware currently meets or beats almost everything in the market.
They have all these slightly different phones with different carriers. Why not just have the same phone but one with CDMA and one with GMS to cut production costs? You mean like the Verizon Touch Pro and the AT&T Touch Pro?
Then give the user the options of Andoid or WinMo(of course we can do that ourselves but make it an official choice) then you can manufacture about 8 phones instead of 20. Often exclusivity contracts prevent different OS's from going on the same phone. Again, they offer 20 phones because they serve A TON of different international providers.
Then you could afford to ditch that 500mghz processor that makes the hero i played with slower than dried dog doody! Snapdragon JUST came out, do you think they wave a magic wand to make these things?
I have used older versions of winmo and was never impressed, but this one looks like a winner, i hope it is not locked to one carrier, then it can have a chance of actually making it. Again - the Touch Diamond, Touch 2, Touch Pro and Touch Pro 2 came out on several major US, European and Asian providers. The Touch Pros are excellent phones.
@ Ryan: In the case of this phone, WinMo 6.5 is perfect. HTC has spent tons of effort re-skinning the entire OS. You hardly EVER see the raw platform. The result is incredibly finger-friendly throughout, and very beautiful.
Are you smoking rocks? It's two tiny holes in the side, both of which improve the function of the phone. Even on the original TP, the micro USB slot at the bottom looks fine. It's not as though there are many ways to design standard inputs...
As a computer musician: A lot of things. I beatbox my beats before I actually sit down and produce them. The problem is, I get my best ideas when I'm nowhere near my computer. With this, I could beatbox *in stereo*, copy the file into my software and build up from there. Perhaps I want to capture ambient noise from the city as a background sample for the beat. If I take this thing on a walk, I can record anything that interests me.
My point is, this shit ain't for the average Joe Schmoe. Where you could get away with the 30 sec. voice memo on your cellie, a professional needs better tools.
The chin has absolutely no effect whatsoever on how easy it is to get in and out of your pocket. You have clearly never used or even held the device (or the G1) in your hands. Look at the pictures, the chin sticks out about 4-5mm from the face of the phone. This is not an issue, just an ill-founded, childish gripe.
Actually, the DEA, CIA, and LAPD *DID* funnel cocaine into black communities in the 80's and early 90's. There is overwhelming evidence to support the accusation, from smuggling routes all the way down to the individuals (narcs, police and drug dealers) in the targeted communities.
Actually, turntables are just as much an instrument as a guitar, piano, or saxophone. It's a tool for making sounds. Just because it doesn't play a musical note does not mean it's not a musical instrument.
And, on second thought, if a part of a record is playing a note or chord, and you pitch it up or down, you can create melodies across two or more tables. I've seen it done live as a matter of fact.
So perhaps, turntables are the ultimate instrument because you can play a beat and melody at the same time, create totally new sounds, and not even have to read a single note of music.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
