Not really surprised....Especially when the Hero is $99 at Best buy now.

$25?? I See floods of these on School Buses.
Cmon Sprint, Give me a reason to Get Rid of this TP2! Give me the Same size screen, same size keyboard, just with Android, GSM capable(Just Because), and WiMax capable....tho ill probably have Grey hair by then.
I hope Hesse has this Up his Sleeve...along with some more Android goodies.
Sprint phones dont need Wifi..maybe on other networks...

This phone looks better and better each time i see it but its gonna be hard to get me away from my TP2.
I Completely agree. I Wanted the Hero...but i opted for the Touch Pro 2 and settled for the 6.5 Update. HTC phones feel like your actually holdin sumthin. I Swore id never buy a Touch screen only phone ever again..so im blowin texts out the water with my big ass screen and keyboard.

I can get another upgrade w/o extending my contract...but only way i use it if its on for a slide out HTC with Android..or an LG be nice
Hero looks intresting..i kud care less about the chin cuz people still complained about the other android phones and said.."Sure be great without that chin" Now its gone. Shut up. Be Happy.

But im gonna be attatched at the hip to my Touch Pro 2 for Quite awhile...
Called sprint askin bout this add. They said to just look out for the email. Not exactly the inside scoop i was lookin for. What the guy did do however is give me a $70 service credit off top just for extending my contract. I told him i just extended when i got my TP2 and he said thats not an issue, ur contract will just expire 2 days later instead. On top of that, Me renewing my contract wit a new phone gets negated......im now eligable for a another upgrade on Oct 9th without extending my contract again....TP2 and A Hero in 30 Days..or i can hold on to my upgrade if i want
Ive been with Sprint 10+ years now. If this is anything near a My Faves or a Unlimited incoming calls ill be the happiest on the planet. Considering they mentioned "Plan Based" this could also be similar to T-Mo's Loyalty plan (Which effects price).

And my Touch Pro 2 Just came in da mail Today.....Wat other great news could it be?
Ordered mine On Sunday through Telesales. Should be here by Wednesday. Cant Wait.

Only reason i got this Instead of waitin for the HERO is cuz of the keyboard. After Havin a HTC Touch the past 2 yrs, no way will i lock myself to a touchscreen only phone again.
You have plenty of options. Me personally, i chose the TP2 over the TOUR simply because i want both Touchscreen AND a Qwerty keyboard. I love the Blackberry feel and i can get used to the OS but i cant give up havin a Touchscreen (Thats just my opinion tho) . No Keyboard is the ONLY reason i wont get the HERO.

You can hold on to your Tour if you want. In Fact, if your Daughter can wait a lil bit, the New Blackberry Curve is Out Nov 1st Otherwise get her a Tour for herself. Aside from that, Theres the Pre, Touch Pro 2, Hero (Oct 11), As Well As the Instinct Q (Oct 11th). WebOs, Android, and WinMo(6.5 in Oct) to chose from. Thats plenty to make you forget about an IPhone.

You and your Daughter wont be able to Split 1500 Mins W/ Unlimited Data & Messaging for $129 with At&t.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
