I'll be getting one in Manchester, UK, free anything gets a big yes from me - free apple goods? Hell yes.
I have got into the habit of naming my files as tags essentially (e.g. uni project1 cover idea2.psd, that sort of thing) so this applications approach to filing is fantastic for me. Currently I can't really find it useable due to lots of beta issues - inability to exclude Trash easily from filters for instance, meaning if I send a file to the trash, it disappears only momentarily before reappearing - and that's if the filter refreshes properly anyway - but assuming those sorts of problems get cleared up, this sort of spotlight-based filing is perfect for me.
The price difference is highly usual for an apple product over here, it's just this is the first UK release that the predominantly US gadget media have ever considered thinking about, so its the first time they notice.

Me? I'm not waiting two months for this phone. Now I know it's gonna be the same hardware as the US version I've ebayed a US model. Now I'm wondering which provider to go with. Three for the cheap data (but no EDGE), or o2 for the (30%) EDGE, but extortionate data rates... difficult choice. Anyone know what Orange's EDGE coverage is like, their data rates aren't quite as painful...
The point of why a flash ad is crap is its unrelated, snappy annoying graphics with no bearing on the contact which distract you. The ipod menu shows you things only related to what you are doing, to your menu choices. It isn't distracting, its enriching. You get to think of your music in a visual sense as well.

The only valid complaint I've heard about it was from a friend who said while perusing the menu he felt the need to pull the menu up to see the full art below...
"keep mum" doesn't specifically mean keep a secret, it also means keep quiet or don't talk - the idea being you keep your lips shut, and thus the only sound you can make is to MUMble.

This would sound to me like an iPhone deally - you dont have to keep quiet, now you can chat all you want sort of thing... I hope.
Do you know what eloquence means? I think you mean elegance.
"Oi! Nutta!" Worms!!
david miller: you seen the iphone marketed to bussiness types? No, didn't think so.

"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
