I really hope that the iSlate or whatever it ends up being called is lot more that an oversized iPhone/iPod touch.

At work, every meeting I go to 30% of the people have iphones, 20% bring their laptop and %50 have some kind of sketch book or note pad. I am really hoping that the iSlate can sort of be all three - which will require a compelling easy way to input text and let me sketch on the thing. If apple can crack that nut I think apple will have a huge hit , but it is going to mean a special app store just for this device not just blown up versions of the existing apps.
Mine left HK this morning. it would be cool if it came early. people getting there phones before official launch would certainly encourage pre-orders in the future.

I like mine a lot. I wish that there was an audio In. I wish it would get an up date for manual exposure control in video (like the 5DII). I also wish there was a place to plug in a sync cord. other than that I am pretty darn happy.
I always wanted a oog named Nook and a cat named Crannie
I would like to do a pod cast about theater in los angeles
Well maybe a live action version would drum up enough intrest in the original to merit a nice blu ray release
This is great news. I thought it was a hardware problem with my Machine. Glad to see I am not alone.
I hope they can find some one as good as the late Conrad Hall to shoot these.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
